Nick Littlefield Award for Excellence in Community Health
The Blue Cross of Massachusetts Foundation has opened applications for the Nick Littlefield Award for Excellence in Community Health. The Nick Littlefield Award for Excellence in Community Health was established in 2016 to honor Mr. Nick Littlefield’s lifelong dedication to public health policy and health care access. The award will recognize an organization making extraordinary contributions to children’s health through a one-time, two-year $100,000 award ($50,000/year). The grant will focus on health care providers and community-based organizations that serve children under the age of 18.
Nationally recognized as a respected and powerful force in health care policy, Nick Littlefield was the former co-chair of the Government Strategies Group in the Boston law firm Foley, Hoag LLP.

Mr. Littlefield served on the Board of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation from its establishment in 2001 to his retirement in 2014. Throughout his life, Mr. Littlefield never wavered in his commitment to improving health care for underserved populations.
