People, Parks, and Power: A National Initiative for Green Space, Health Equity, and Racial Justice is a joint effort of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, led and managed by Prevention Institute. The goal of the People, Parks, and Power (P3) initiative is to accelerate national momentum for park and green space equity led by the communities that, for generations, have suffered the adverse health, social, and environmental impacts of park, green space, and other built environment inequities. RWJF will distribute $7 million to support community-based organizations and base-building groups working in urban, low-income communities of color across the United States to increase park equity through local policy and systems change efforts.
Letters of intent are due by November 4, 2021.
