During Day 2 of the 2025 Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy, attendees across sectors worked together to identify the intersections of their work and co-created solutions for healthier, thriving communities. Sessions spanned a wide range of topics, from exploring business’ role in health equity to strategies for supporting staff in uncertain times.
Building a Collaborative Vision of the Future
Today, over 840 funders and thought leaders, representing 440 organizations, gathered in New Orleans for the largest Annual Conference on Health Philanthropy ever. Conference attendees started the day with site visits around the Crescent City and newcomer and networking lunches, rooting the week ahead in connections with the New Orleans community and each other.
Igniting a Women’s Health Activist Movement—WHAM!
We at the Jewish Healthcare Foundation (JHF) are not content to let this activist roar go silent. That is why we recently launched the Women’s Health Activist Movement Global (WHAM Global), a network to empower and cultivate female leaders who advance health care systems that are transparent, respectful, accountable, and equitable.
Ron Pollack to Be Honored with Andy Hyman Award for Advocacy
Ron Pollack, Founding Executive Director of Families USA, will receive Grantmaker In Health’s 2017 Andy Hyman Award for Advocacy. The award recognized advocacy grantees who embody a commitment to principled action, leadership to advance social change, and dedication to making progress in policy and practice despite challenging political environments.
Chet Hewitt to Be Honored with Terrance Keenan Leadership Award
Chet Hewitt, President and CEO of the Sierra Health Foundation, will receive Grantmakers In Health’s 2017 Terrance Keenan Leadership Award in Health Philanthropy. The award recognizes outstanding grantmakers whose work is distinguished by leadership, innovation, and outstanding achievement.
