Program Staff

Community Memorial Foundation is searching for an experienced and mission driven Program Officer to join our small and highly collaborative team.  This role will focus on grantmaking and portfolio management and community engagement.  We are looking for a person with a track record of leadership in the philanthropy, public health, or nonprofit sectors.

The Grants and Program Officer is part of a team responsible for coordinating, managing and executing activities related to programs and initiatives of the grantmaking arm of the CareQuest Institute for Oral Health, particularly focused on working with Native communities. The position will include implementation of the current grants strategy and planning new engagement activities, management of a specific grantmaking portfolio, and engagement with the Oral Health Progress and Equity Network (OPEN).

Provide dedicated administrative services in support of the Foundation’s Grants Program staff to advance the Foundation’s grantmaking programs. This position provides an opportunity to experience various aspects of grants administration, foundation operations, and communications. Primary responsibilities include the administration of grants and funded projects, information management, reporting, and developing effective communications for the Board, Foundation partners, and broader community.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with leaders from some of the nation’s largest and most respected nonprofit organizations, helping translate ideas into programs that strengthen health, access, and independence for older adults across the country. The Program Associate is a core member of LSA’s Member Engagement team, which designs and delivers high-value programs, partnerships, and learning opportunities for a national network serving one in 50 people in the United States. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work, coordinating across stakeholders, and keeping momentum moving in fast-paced environments.
