Program Staff

Provide dedicated administrative services in support of the Foundation’s Grants Program staff to advance the Foundation’s grantmaking programs. This position provides an opportunity to experience various aspects of grants administration, foundation operations, and communications. Primary responsibilities include the administration of grants and funded projects, information management, reporting, and developing effective communications for the Board, Foundation partners, and broader community.

In this role, you will collaborate directly with leaders from some of the nation’s largest and most respected nonprofit organizations, helping translate ideas into programs that strengthen health, access, and independence for older adults across the country. The Program Associate is a core member of LSA’s Member Engagement team, which designs and delivers high-value programs, partnerships, and learning opportunities for a national network serving one in 50 people in the United States. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work, coordinating across stakeholders, and keeping momentum moving in fast-paced environments. 

The senior program officer will help advance the Foundation’s priorities through strategy development and implementation (e.g., partnership development, grantmaking), including ensuring the strategies are aligned with the Foundation’s broader strategic framework to deepen a focus on intersectional racial equity in the quest for health equity and justice.

The Grants Manager ensures efficient grant lifecycle management—from application to award and reporting—while driving continuous improvement in systems, data, and workflow. The Grants Manager maintains accurate grant records, supports staff and grantees with technical and procedural guidance, and develops tools and reports to strengthen organizational learning and accountability. Ideal candidates bring expertise in grants administration, data management, and process improvement to help advance the Foundation’s mission of health equity.
