Every community is affected by addiction and mental health issues, and increasingly grantmakers are expanding their approach to health to include social, emotional, and behavioral approaches. Reducing the impact of mental illness, substance use, trauma, and stress requires cross-sector coordination and strong investments in prevention, early intervention, treatment, and recovery supports.
